Due to the limited amount of time left in the year, Mrs. H allowed me to make a single cylinder to compensate for my whole "extra tall" project. I don't have enough time to glaze it, but it is very smooth and pretty at about 4 inches high by 3 inches wide. I wouldnt have used more than 2 glazes on this if I had the chance.

These are my themed projects. I have 2 small bowls and a small candle holder. They are all going to be glazed black, however they haven't gotten out of the glaze kiln yet. I like them because they have a cool look to them and they have odd shapes. I also did pretty good pulling the walls as well. I'm happy with these.
I made a 4 inch by 4 inch mushroom. It has detailed features like it's textured top and under cap, and a small inch worm on the top. I decided not to glaze it because of how white the clay turned out to be. It is comparatively much whiter than other mixer clay is after it comes out of the bisque, and I don't want to ruin it with a bad glaze job.
This is my paper clay trout. I used a small pin tool to create the dotter pattern which imitates a trouts pattern in the wild. After this is fired in the bisque kiln, I am going to drill a small hole in the back near the tail, paint it like a trout, and use it as an ornament for my rear view mirror in my car.
These are my oragami projects. I learned how to make the rose by looking up tutorials on YouTube, and used that tutorial to teach harvey how to make one as well. His didn't turn out very well, so he did not turn his in for a grade. Emily taught me how to make the heart, and although it didn't turn out amazing, it was simple and fun.
My groups frankenpot was lost because of the kiln fire. It only needed to be glazed for it to be completed.
This is my lidded case project. It is about 5 inches tall and 3 inches wide, with a forest green and white lid, and a forest green with white sponged over it on the actual vase. It shows good contrast because of the two differences in glazing technique between the two parts of the project, and I like it because it shows how contrasting any one object or thing can be (this applies to people).
This is my first choice project. It is a pinch pot frog that stands about 3 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide, with a red glazed tongue and forest green dipped everywhere. I wiped off the eyes and glazed them white, and put a drop of black glaze In the divots for the pupils. This has very good color in my opinion because of the awesome green glaze. I love it. It also is a good use of space. At first sight it's hard to tell that it was made off of a pinch pot.
This is my second choice project of the quarter. It is a very small candle holder, about an inch and a half tall and an inch wide. It was dipped in black glaze, but due to the small amount of the blue cobalt in the glaze, it looks like a starry night sky. It has good unity and harmony because of its one glaze, and has a very calming look because of the blue cobalt. I am very happy with the way the glaze turned out.
